Katalyst entered for her first turf start of 2026 as Sweet Katarina continues to show plenty of positive signs at home
"Sweet Katarina (photo above) is really taking it all in her stride at the moment. She's had a few pieces of work over at Kingsdown where she galloped with a three-year-old gelding. I'm just building her up slowly. She is a good size filly and she's certainly showing plenty which is good to see at this stage.
I'll give her an easier end to the week and then start galloping her again next week. All being well she should be making her debut for the Coral Racing Club in the next month or so which is really exciting.
We put Katalyst through some work the other day with blinkers on and that really seem to wake her up so I'm likely to run her with the blinkers on next time out like Billy [Loughnane] suggested after her last race. I probably will stay at the mile with the blinkers on to give her one more go at that trip. I'm going to make an entry today for her at Nottingham next Tuesday in the Fillies' Handicap.
After that we may look to drop her back in trip to seven furlongs, but I do suspect she could end up being outpaced early on and I do think in terms of her progress she'll be better over a mile and further so lets see."
