Sweet Katarina is set to make just the second start of her career on Friday, after being declared in a Class 2 Fillies' Maiden at Ascot.

Sweet Katarina's first day on the track might not have been spectacular, but it was satisfactory in the sense that she did everything she needed to do on the day, and looked comfortable whilst doing so. Of course she'll come on for that ninth place finish at Kempton last time out, in what was also a very hot contest, but her task won't get any easier this Friday as she lines up in another warm race, this time worth £25,000 in prize money. She's been in great form at home, looks raring to go for the rest of the season, and going into the all-weather season that follows. With her next step right in front of us, we should see some more improvement looking ahead.
