The as yet unnamed Westerner gelding continues to please us with his homework.

We are on target for him to have his first run towards the end of this month. We will almost certainly start him off in a Bumper, a National Hunt Flat race, to give him the taste of racecourse experience without the added factor of hurdles, but we have schooled him plenty at home, and even if we do start him off in a bumper, it wouldn't be long before we got him over hurdles.

We will obviously know more about him after those first couple of runs, in terms of his preferred ground and trip, and we can't wait to get started with him so don't forget to get all those suggestions for his name in, we are all excited to see what he's going to be called!
