Joe Tizzard happy with handicappers decision after West End Boy's back-to-back victories
It was a race he was fully entitled to win, he was well in at the weights that day, and really won it as the ratings, and the betting, said he should, but it was still good to see the handicapper agree. The increase to 110 (previously 99) following his Wincanton victory looked fair, and so that’s where we stay, for now.
He's having an easy fortnight following the Plumpton win. Although he won well both times, two runs in eight days is a big effort, and I was keen to give him plenty of time to recover, so we’ve not done much with him since.
His fitness levels are good at the moment, so he won’t take much work ahead of his next run, which at this stage should be in the first half of December.
The yard’s horses are running well now, and I’m delighted that the Coral Racing Club have been part of that.
