Joe Tizzard plots possible Wincanton trip for West End Boy
We schooled him on Wednesday morning and he jumped fine, there wasn’t a bother on him, and this confirmed to us that the fall in his last race hadn't left any mark on him which is good. I do think he would have been third at Sandown that day if he’d stayed on his feet.
He needs to have another run to get a handicap mark, and I’m keen to run him on a speedier track this time after his two runs at Sandown.
There’s a race at Wincanton on Wednesday 5th April that might suit us, as it’s nice and local, and we have a box at the track so we can look after the members who win the chance to be his owners for the day in the upcoming competition.
We’ll pencil that race in for him and see how we get on over the next few days. I’m really happy with how West End Boy has performed on the track so far and he shows such a great attitude in his work at home.
He’s going to be a lovely horse for the Club.
