The decision was made based on the short space of time between his last run, which was over five furlongs, and his next, which Hugo would like to be his first start over six furlongs.
The Manor House trainer believes that the six furlong trip will suit our two-year-old colt, but doesn't want to rush him back out unnecessarily, despite the promising work he's been putting in on the gallops in Cheshire.
