Cave Article continues streak of podium finishes with third at Warwick | Raceday Highlights
In what was his fifth start of the year, as well as being his first of the new jumps season, Cave Article made the trip to Warwick for the first time in his career for a Conditional Jockeys' Chase over three miles. Charlie Maggs was the obvious option to partner him again, given how well the pair ran last time out when Cave Article was a comfortable winner at Hereford, although Maggs was unable to make use of his five pound claim this time round, due to it being a Conditional Jockeys' contest.
The race started largely as expected, with Cave Article taking up a position in the rear of the small five runner field, whilst Grillon De Monty took up the early lead. Our six-year-old remained in his position, travelling comfortably without the need for pressure, and jumping superbly throughout the contest.
Charlie Maggs began to edge Cave Article closer to the leading pair of Grand Sabre and Grillon De Monty with around four furlongs to travel, and coming round the bend he was four lengths off the leader and couldn't quite get on terms with his two rivals.
Our Christian Williams-trained gelding continued to race with enthusiasm, despite not being able to catch the leading duo, and finished his race well, eventually finishing 7½ lengths back in third place. That finish extended his streak of coming home in the top three to an incredible six races, and he claimed another £758 in prize money for his 10 lucky Owners for the Day.
WATCH: Cave Article relaxes in the river following his recent third place finish at Warwick

"Cave Article is in good form after his race. He'll be in the river now for a few days and he'll have a couple of trots too.
It was another consistent run, he jumped and travelled really well throughout the race. Obviously he went up in the weights by four pounds for his last win at Hereford, and then was given another pound for Side Stepper winning on his next start. With Charlie Maggs not offsetting that rise with his claim, due to the contest being a Conditional Jockeys' race, he was effectively carrying ten pounds more than he was for his win at Hereford.
We'll look to put him in a normal handicap contest next time out, with the handicapper dropping him a pound, and look to book Charlie Maggs again, who gets on well with Cave Article, and make the most of his five pound claim."
